Pool Manager
JOB SUMMARY
Come join our team as a part time Pool Manager for the 2024 summer season! We are a seasonal outdoor club - open from Memorial Day to Labor Day weekend. In this role, you will be the eyes on the ground for operations, and work with the Board of Directors to facilitate a safe and enjoyable experience for our members. This is a leadership role that requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
This part time role is approximately 24 hours per week, and flexible scheduling is available.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage all aspects of day to day pool operations, including staff scheduling, shift management, equipment operations, and point of sale transactions
Supervise lifeguards to ensure adherence to safety protocols and excellent customer service
Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain a clean and safe pool environment
Work with the Board of Directors to carry out pool events, such as swim meets or pool parties, ensuring smooth execution and guest satisfaction
Handle member and guest inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional and timely manner
Maintain reports on pool usage, incidents, and maintenance needs
Conduct regular inspections of the pool area to identify any hazards or maintenance issues
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively supervise a team
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on providing a positive experience for guests
3+ years of lifeguarding or prior pool management experience preferred
Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications prior to season start
Pool Operations license, preferred

Lifeguard
JOB SUMMARY
The Springfield Swim and Racquet Club is seeking lifeguards for the 2024 summer season. During busy hours, you will also walk around the pool areas to enforce pool rules and policies. Administrative duties include documenting the number of daily visitors, requesting repairs or service, and developing new policies to ensure the safe use of our facilities.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet and keep accurate records of visitors
Monitor water chemistry
Maintain safety and cleanliness of facilities
Report problems to the pool manager to take appropriate action
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Must be 15+ years old
Able to pass a swimming proficiency test
Current Lifeguard training course - including CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications
